Though vesicular viscoelastic fluid formed by surfactants have been applied in GOM with great success, by introducing a polyelectrolyte, this new fluid has greatly reduced the surfactant loading required to formsuch aggregations and enhanced the fluid thermal stability.The positively charged polyQuat has strong interactions with the surfactant molecules, which induce aggregation of surfactants and lead to more stable vesicles.
