6.9 Testing Program
The complete details of the testing program can be found in the document titled
‘Formation Flow Test & Fluid Sampling’. The following is a summary of the key
points and objectives of the program.
The objectives of the xxxx-x-x-x test programs are to establish or assess:
• The reservoir fluid properties (routine, PVT and refinery analyses),
• The existence of reservoir compartmentalization,
• The productivity index of a vertical producer,
• The scale-up of the porosity/permeability correlation obtained from core and
MDT results. This applies to both horizontal and vertical permeability
estimates.
• A prediction of changes in the reservoir characteristics away from the
wellbore,
• The existence and impact of boundaries,
• The design of the future xxxx drilling and completion programs. This
includes:
- The placement of the wells to optimize productivity and reserves,
- The dynamics and thermodynamics of fluid flow from the reservoir to the
process facility,
• The xxxxx facility design.
For the purposes of this document, the term “Global Primary Objectives” will be used
to refer to the following FFT (Formation Flow Test) objectives:
• The initial reservoir pressure
• The initial reservoir temperature
• The completed interval’s horizontal permeability
• The skin effect
• The flow barriers
• The well productivity/deliverability
• The prevention of gas hydrates
On the basis of the above discussion and the predicted Petrolog results, the test
programs and intervals will be designed to meet the objectives outlined below. An
explanation of action plans for the acquisition of the data required to meet each
objective is included. Detailed test action plans will be contained in the well test
program, prepared for each FFT.

FFT #1 Global primary objectives and Reservoir fluid samples from Sand #1. TBD.
If a primary objective is not met because of a problem with the reservoir
quality or the drilling, logging, casing or completion operations, the test data
may be forfeited. A Technical Team review will be held to decide if the data
could be acquired if the test were to be rerun. Unsuccessful tests will not be
rerun to acquire data to meet secondary or tertiary objectives.
