Quality control of the fault model
The end result must be a fault model which accurately represents the input data provided along with your own interpretation of the structure. As well as this, the generated fault model must comply with a few rules in order for the 3D grid to be created by the gridding algorithm without too many problems.

isc]- Always connect crossing faults 总是连接交叉断层。
- Truncated faults must be properly truncated to each other, Key Pillar by Key Pillar. End truncations must be connected. 削截断层必须是逐个主定型断杆相削截。削截的末端必须相连。
- In general, keep the top and base Shape Points of the faults as even as possible. 总体而言,保持断层上的顶底定形点尽可能均匀分布。
- Keep the pillar geometry as simple as possible. There is no point in creating a listric fault if it is not needed. 保持断层杆的形状尽可能简单。如无必要,尽量避免建立犁式断层。
- Keep the shape of the faults as simple as possible. Minimize the number of Key Pillars in each fault - they shall only define the shape of the fault, not sample the data at close intervals. 尽量建立形状简单的断层。每一条断层上保持最少量的主定型断杆,这些定型断杆仅代表了断层的形状,没有必要以网格步长来的密度来排列主定型断杆。
总体原则: 连接交叉断层、
削截断层至少有一对主定型断杆、
顶底定形点均匀分布、
断层杆形状简单、
避免建立犁式断层、
断层形状简单、
主定型断杆少而精。
